The 46th Telluride Film Festival has announced its line-up ahead of its premiere. The Fall film festival, similar to the Venice and Toronto Film Festival is undoubtedly going to be a major influencer for the films measuring their chances at the Oscar season.
What is perhaps the biggest surprise in the Bill Gates documentary 'Inside Bill's Mind' by David Guggenheim, which will present an up, close and personal look inside the mind of billionaire-genius-philanthropist Bill Gates.
There's plenty of attractions on the menu such as James Mangold bringing Christian Bale and Matt Damon lead 'Ford Vs. Ferrari' to the race; 'Judy' starring Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland in the twilight phase of her career; 'Motherless Brooklyn' a socio-political noir directed by Norton who also stars; 'A Hidden Life' by Terrance Mallick based on the life of conscious objector Franz Jägerstätter.
'Marriage Story' currently playing at Venice Film Festival has won rave reviews for the trifecta of Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver, and Alan Alda could also be a major film at Telluride.
Out of the 30 films (including international titles)being played, it shall also be showcasing documentaries 'Diego Maradona' by Asif Kapadia, Ken Burns' 'Country Music', Lauren Greenfield's 'The Kingmaker'. Dedicated to the memory of French filmmaker/extraordinary human being Agnes Varda, also in-store is Silver Medallion tributes for the actress Renee Zellweger and director Philip Kaufman. The festival shall play a restored version of his film 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' (1988)
