After 'Justice League' tanked, Ezra Miller's hopes of getting a spin-off movies dashed too. Sure, we have heard of directors and writers leaving a project due to whatever reasons, but 'The Flash ' was starting to be a major pain in the ass for DC movies.
Writer-directors from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street) to John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Game Night) have come and gone because DC refuses to budge on its vision for the movie. However, the success of 'Shazam!" has made DC see the benefit of taking a lighter approach to the comic book material.
Seem like things will be okay for a while now, as 'IT' director Andy Muschietti will be coming to direct the troubled 'The Flash' movie. Reportedly, Ezra Miller had lost patience with the constant shakeup in the creative department that he took it upon himself te pen a screenplay. Muschietti, a writer himself, might want to take a screenplay. But all that's a wild idea, for now, given the project's track record.
Andy Mushietti's 'IT: Chapter 2' will be released in India next week on September 6, 2019
