John Travolta is currently promoting his stalker drama 'The Fanatic'. However, during the premiere of his upcoming movie he started to express his admiration for Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'.
The actor, who starred as the righteous gangster Vincent Vega in Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction' was all praises for Tarantino's love letter to Hollywood. Speaking with 'Variety' he said, "I loved it, and I'll tell you why, I love films about what we should have done as opposed to what happened.`
Aware of Tarantino's revisionist tendencies, he added, "Instead of going: 'Remember the horror that happened?' It's saying, 'Well, what if we turned back history and actually didn't do that and did it this way? He did the same thing with 'Inglorious Basterds.' You know, it was what we should have done with Hitler, not what we did.` Travolta also mentioned the fact he was obsessed with the late actress Sharon Stone.
'The Fanatic' is John Travolta's return to the screen after a string of low performers 'Gotti' (2018), 'The Poison Rose' (2019). Co-written and directed by Fred Durst (yes, the one from the band Limp Bizkit), 'The Fanatic' stars Travolta as a rabid film fan stalks his favorite action hero and destroys the star's life.
Travolta also found himself in the news because of his award-show gaffe last week. The 'Saturday Night Fever' star mistook the RuPaul Drag Race's Jade Jolie fo Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Award.
'The Fanatic' is currently in theaters.
