Taylor Swift`s latest album `Lover` is a hit with both fans and critics alike. The `Bad Blood` hitmaker has enjoyed back-to-back successes and the streak seems to continue with her latest album. With the follow-up album to `Reputation` (2017), Taylor Swift has achieved quite an extraordinary sales record.

`Lover` has successfully sold 679,000 copies last week till 29th August, making Taylor Swift responsible for almost 27% of all U.S Album sales in their debut week. For Taylor, this isn`t a novelty feeling as `Reputation` went on to amass a whopping 29% of the market sales in its first week of release

Before unveiling the album, Taylor Swift released two singles- `You Need To Calm Down` and `Me!` featuring Brandon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, both of which are massive hits. Taylor Swift seems to be having a great run this year, also winning the first-ever Icon Award at Teen Choice Awards 2019.

Taylor Swift will also be seen as Bombalurina in the upcoming live-action adaptation of `Cats` directed by Tom Hooper.
