Arvind Adiga's 'The White Tiger' Adaptation Taps Priyanka Chopra

After bagging Robert Rodriguez's superhero movie 'We Can Be Heroes', the Priyanka Chopra-Jonas has signed on another international project. Priyanka Chopra-Jonas will be starring in Netflix's movie adaptation of the novel 'The White Tiger'.

At the center of this adaptation would be Ramin Bahrani (99 Homes, Fahrenheit 451), who will be directing a script he wrote. Chopra would star alongside Rajkumar Rao and Adarsh Gaurav. The movie will be shot in India in October. Apart from starring, the 'Baywatch' star would also serve as an executive producer.

Arvind Adiga's Man Booker Prize-winning novel 'The White Tiger' is a tale of servitude, economic prosperity, and murder. The novel chronicles the rags-to-riches journey of Balram Halwai, whose unique and sarcastic voice carries the reader through his life in “new India."
