After failing big-time with the 'Hellboy' reboot, Neil Marshall is back to making movies his way. The writer-director behind 'The Descent' and 'Dog Soldiers' is currently filming his next project, a horror filmed titled 'The Reckoning.'
Highland Film Group, which is looking after the film's distribution duties shared the first image of the movie. The image features a petrified Charlotte Kirk, as she looks above with horror. Charlotte will play Evelyn Haverstock, a young widow facing the recent suicide of her husband (Anderson) To make matters worse, she is falsely accused of being a witch by her jealous landlord after she rejects his unwanted sexual overtures.
Imprisoned, Grace endures physical persecution at the hands of England's most ruthless witch-hunter Judge Moorcroft (Pertwee), and as to face her own inner demons as the devil himself starts working his way into her mind. Neil Marshall's 'The Reckoning' takes place in 1665 England, the heyday of witch hunts and the Great Plague. The movie stars Charlotte Kirk, Joe Anderson, Steven Waddington, and Sean Pertwee in pivotal roles.
