At this point, it doesn't come as s surprise when you hear about a Stephen King novel getting screen treatment of any kind. Stephen King's latest, 'The Institute' which hit the stands yesterday has already gotten the green light for a screen adaptation.

'The Institute' adaptation will be shepherded as limited series by David E Kelly (Big Little Eyes) with the assistance of Jack Bender. Both of them have previously worked on another King novel adaptation ' Mr. Mercedes' starring Brendan Gleeson.

'The Institute' by Stephen King is about a brilliant and sensitive boy named Luke who is kidnapped and taken to a compound in the Maine woods where kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - are imprisoned and put to dark geopolitical uses.

Kelly is currently working on another limited series 'The Undoing' starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman and writing and executive producing an adaptation of Micheal Connelly's 'The Lincoln Lawyer.'
