Dragon might have flown away, but it seems like it might not be the last time you saw the dragons. HBO's'Game of Thrones' prequel is nearing a pilot deal. The prequel will be based on 'Fire and Blood' which is a companion piece to the ' A Song of Ice and Fire' books.
'Fire and Blood' is a chronicle of Targaryen dynasty and rulers such as Aegon the Conquerer and Aegon the Dragonbane. The pilot episode is believed to be set 300 years before the events of 'Game of Thrones' and will look at the fall of House Targaryen.
Another GOT spin-off, tentatively called 'The Long Night' starring Naomi Watts is in development as of now. It will throw light on the legend of White Walkers, the land of Essos and how the Stark dynasty came into being. Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, and Jamie Campbell Bower will star alongside Naomi Watts.
Jane Goldman, who co-created the series with Martin will also serve as showrunner. S.J. Clarkson will direct the pilot.
