Netflix's supernatural thriller series ' Things Heard & Seen' is in the process of acquiring the services of actress Amanda Seyfried. The 'Mamma Mia' actress, if agrees to sign on to the project would be making her streaming debut.
The duo of Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini (American Splendor) will write and direct the adaptation. Based on the novel 'All Things Cease To Appear' by Elizabeth Brundage, the series is about a young couple who move to a farm near a small town in upstate New York. Their new home is cursed by the murder of its former owners and as haunted secrets reveal themselves, the husband and wife's own marriage reveals itself to have the darkness of its own.
Seyfried will play the wife struggling to adjust to the small-town life and who comes to believe her house is haunted. Seyfried recently starred in 'The Art of Racing in the Rain', and will be seen in another horror project 'You Should Have Left.' She will also be voicing Daphne Blake in the animation film 'Scoob!' and appear in the drama film 'A Mouthful of Air' which is currently being filmed.
