In his recent appearance on the `The Joe Rogan Experience`, Dan Aykroyd confirmed that he`ll be a part of `Ghostbusters 2020.` The actor will come back as Ray Stantz, his character from the first `Ghostbusters` movie.
Aykroyd mentioned that writer-director Jason Reitman is working on `Ghostbusters 2020.` It is said to be a new story, with possibly several cast members from the first movie coming in contact with the newer cast. Akyroyd, also a producer on the infamous all-female reboot of `Ghostbusters` told Rogan that he liked the movie but admitted that there were certain things that didn`t work out.

`Ghostbusters 2020` is being co-written by Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman (also directing) So far, Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace have been cast. Aykroyd also mentioned that efforts were being made to bring Bill Murray into the fold.
The film entered production on July 12, 2019, and is scheduled for a theatrical release of July 10, 2020, in the United States.
