Sophie Turner will be seen in Quibi's upcoming thriller series. The former 'Game of Thrones' star might have hung up her winter coat, but is returning to the genre of intrigue with the series titles 'Survive.'

Along with Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, Blackkklansman), the Emmy-nominated actress will star as Jane, who has to fight for her life when her plane crashes on a remote snow-covered mountain. Paul (Hawkins) is the only other remaining survivor and together they embark on a harrowing journey out of the wilderness, battling brutal conditions and personal traumas.

`I couldn't be more honored to portray the role of Jane in 'Survive' for Quibi,` said Turner. `She's a complex character fighting against the odds to not only save her life, but to also find her own source of strength and courage. I only hope this can impact anyone struggling with self-worth to understand they are braver than they know and to seek the support they need.`

Based on Alex Morel's novel of the same title, 'Survive' will be co-written by Richard Abate and Jermy Ungar and directed by Mark Pellington. Abate, Cary Granat, and Ed Jones will serve as producers and Van Toffler, Floris Bauer, and Barry Barclay will executive produce the series.

'Survive' along with a bunch of other shows in development for the short-form mobile video platform Quibi, which is targetting an April 2020 launch.
