Jules Avery will direct Stallone in a superhero-centric thriller 'Samaritan.' It is the story of a young boy who sets out to investigate the disappearance of a mythic superhero, who vanished 20 years earlier following a tragic event. The boy looks to find out if this superhero is still alive and kicking.
On the opportunity of working with Stallone, Avery has said, `Sly is a hero of mine, I'm incredibly thrilled to be working with such an iconic actor on this very special project with Balboa Productions and MGM.`
Avery will be directing Bragi F Schut's screenplay, with Bragi also serving as a producer along with Braden Aftergood from Balboa Productions. Stallone will also serve as an executive producer aside from starring in this project. Stallone currently returns as John Rambo in 'Rambo: Last Rambo' which has already amassed almost $30 million worldwide.
