David Koepp, who wrote the forgettable "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull' has been hired back to work on Steven Speilberg's "Indiana Jones 5." Jonathan Kasdan and Dan Fogelman were the writers brought in to work out the screenplay, but Koepp, who was the original writer for the project has been hired back.
Speaking on his involvement, Koepp has said `I'm working on it again. We're still trying. And I think we've got a good idea this time. We'll see.` Koep has said that his script will not feature Shia LeBeouf's character Mutt Williams from the 2008 film.
Currently untitled, "Indiana Jones 5" sees Harrison Ford returning as the eponymous hero Indiana Jones once again. Steven Speilberg will direct the movie with Lucasfilm, Paramount Pictures, and Walt Disney Pictures producing. John Williams will take on the scoring duties for the film.
Still in initial stages of development, the movie now has a release date of July 9, 2021.
