CW's "Arrow" is calling it quits after its final 8th season. However, it might not be your final trip to Sterling city as sources report that a female lead "Arrow" spin-off is in the works. The show is said to be featured on the characters of Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy, and Juliana Harkavy.
Katherine McNamara stars as Mia Smoak /Green Arrow, with Katie Cassidy and Juliana Harkavy playing Laural Lance and Dinah Drake respectively. After starring in recurring roles on "Arrow," it is about time these characters finally get their origin story.
The spin-off is set to air as a backdoor pilot in the 10-episode final season of Arrow, which airs October 15. Showrunner Beth Schwartz, Marc Guggenheim, Jill Blankenship, and Oscar Balderrama are co-writing the episode. CW president Mark Pedowitz hinted at another spin-off in the Arrow-verse, which includes The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and the soon-to-debut Batwoman, featuring Ruby Rose.
