A24 studios have tapped writer Chloe Okuno to develop a horror project. Chloe is said to rewrite and direct "Bodies, Bodies, Bodies" for the independent film studio. Chloe will be working off from the spec script from the "Cat Person" author Kristen Ropuenian.
Kristen's original spec script shows heightened sensitivity to character development and social dynamics in a subversive way as it follows a group of friends who find themselves under attack while playing drinking games in a cabin in the woods.
Chloe Okune came into prominence with her 2014 short film "Slut," a story of a naive young girl becomes the target of a murderous sociopath when she attempts to reinvent herself to impress the boys in her small Texas town.
The short was nominated for the grand jury prize at AFI Fest and helped Okuno land a gig writing Orion's remake of 1977 supernatural thriller "Audrey Rose" starring Marsha Mason and Anthony Hopkins.
