Streaming platform Netflix has embarked on a straight to series project deal with Shonda Rhimes. Rhimes' new series `Notes on Love` explores the unexpected-life-changing, euphoric, hilarious, surreal and all-consuming places where love intersects in everyone's lives. The first season will focus on stories about where love and marriage meet, examining what the institution is, means and how it's changing.

Each episode will be written by a different screenwriter. Norman Lear, Aaron Shure, Steve Martin, Diane Warren, Jenny Han, Lindy West, Ahamefule J. Oluo is the team of writers who will join Shonda Rhimes in writing or producing the series.

Shonda Rhimes will produce the series alongside her Shondaland partner Betsy Beers. `Notes on Love` is the ninth project to stem from Rhimes' $100 million overall deal with Netflix.

Rhimes' other credits include "Grey's Anatomy, "Scandal, "How To Get Away With Murder" and `For the People.`
