Sam Mendes returns to filmmaking after 2015`s "Spectre" with a harrowing war movie "1917." The film follows two young British soldiers Schofield and Blake (George MacKay & Dean Charles-Chapman) during the First World War are given an impossible mission: deliver a message deep in enemy territory that will stop their men, and Blake`s brother, from walking straight into a deadly trap.

The makers also released a behind the scenes look at the movie. Shot in a long take by Roger Deakins, the film seeks to bring the real-time experience of being in the trenches with the soldiers. The camera never goes away from the two characters, with the safety net of cuts and scene transitions taken away from this story.
