In a conversation with "Collider" regarding the promotion of his upcoming film "Dolemite Is My Name!" Eddie Murphy has confirmed that he'll be working on the fourth installment of the Beverly Hills franchise after he's done filming "Coming To America" sequel.
`Yeah, that's what we're doing after Coming 2 America, we're Beverly Hills Cop and then the plan is to get back on stage and do stand-up. And then kinda like that'll be what I'll be doing mostly, stand-up.I'm not going to make movies two or three a year like I did back in the early days cause I like to be home with the kids.` said Murphy in his conversation with Collider.
Beverly Hills Cop 4 has been in development for a long time at Paramount Pictures. It will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, with Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec writing the screenplay.
"Dolemite Is My Name!" stars Eddie Murphy as the swashbuckling Rudy Ray Moore, a comedian-turned-action star. Directed by Craig Brewer, the movie looks back at his struggles with the industry and the moment of epiphany which leads him to come up with Dolemite-a debonair, intellectual, and Kung-Fu loving pimp.
"Dolemite Is My Name!" premiered at the TIFF this yearn and will release in select theaters on October 4, 2019and will be available to stream on Netflix on October 25, 2019.
