Daveed Diggs of "Hamilton" fame is in talks to play Sebastian in Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of "The Little Mermaid." Diggs, who will be seen in the "Snowpiercer" the television adaptation will be seen as the servant of King Triton which is voiced by Javier Bardem.

Halle Bailey will portray Ariel, a mermaid princess who dreams of being a human, while Melissa McCarthy is playing her evil aunt Ursula. The Little Mermaid" is the story of Ursula, the sea witch, who makes a devious deal with princess Ariel for her to meet Eric, the human prince she loves. Unaware of her intentions and carried away in love, Ariel lands up in major trouble.

Rob Marshall will direct the live-action adaptation from David Magee's script. The upcoming film will incorporate original songs from the 1989 animated classic, as well as new tunes from original composer Alan Menken with lyrics by `Hamilton` creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. Miranda is also producing the film along with Marshall.

"The Little Mermaid" live-action adaptation is expected to have an early 2020 release.
