Hollywood Style icon and actress Jane Fonda was arrested last week in Washington D.C during the climate change protest. The "Klute" actress was handcuffed and taken into custody on Friday afternoon.

Fonda was in D.C for her Friday Drills Friday Campaign, and proclaimed, "I will be on the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, inspired and emboldened by the incredible movement our youth have created,` Fonda says on the campaign's site. `I can no longer stand by and let our elected officials ignore - and even worse - empower - the industries that are destroying our planet for profit.

Jane Fonda is not only an incredible actor but has also had an active career in political activism. She was very vocal in her protest of the Vietnam War, paying a visit to Hanoi. Fonda was arrested in 1970 for speaking out against the Vietnam War, and her fist of solidarity mugshot became an iconic image. She also went to talk about feminist and other issues and her career as a political activist has been depicted in the 2018 documentary "Jane Fonda in Five Acts."
