`Ready or Not` is proving to be a major career point for Samara Weaving. The Australian actress has been cast as Scarlett, an intelligence officer in Paramount's G. I Joe spinoff `Snake Eyes.` This is perfect casting because she's had enough experience with blood in `Ready or Not` and as we've seen, she knows her way around a gun. Weaving will star opposite to Henry Golding who'll be playing Snake Eyes along with Andre Koji, Iko Uwais, and Ursula Corbero.
"Snake Eyes" is a popular fictional character from the G.I. Joe comics and toys series. He is an elite commando, dressed in all-black. During one of his first solo missions, he is said to have received severe damage to his face and vocal cords, of which the latter couldn't be saved. In recent storylines, he has shown to be romantically involved with the team member Scarlett.
The "Snake Eyes" spin-off will be directed by Robert Schwenke with a script from Evan Spiliotopoulos. The story is said to be his quest to revenge his father's murder. To unearth what lead to the murder, he joins a ninja clan and along the way finds acceptance. The movie is being produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Brian Goldner, and Stephen Davis. The production will commence this week in Vancouver.
