The "How I Met Your Mother" actor Neil Patrick Harris is the latest to be joining the sci-fi "The Matrix 4." He will be seen alongside "Aquaman" actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be returning to reprise their roles from the first movie.

There's no word yet on what role Patrick Harris will be playing. Neil Pattrick Harris has been a huge presence on television, starring in "How I Met Your Mother" and recently in "A Series of Unfortunate Series." His movie appearances include David Fincher's "Gone Girl" and Alexander Payne's "Downsizing."

`The Matrix 4` will be written and directed by the Wachowskis, with Alexandar Hemon and David Mitchell doing additional word on the screenplay. Wachowski is also producing with Grant Hill. The film is expected to begin production at the beginning of 2020, with Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures producing and looking after the global distribution.
