After the scrapping of "World War Z" sequel, David Fincher is directing a biopic as his next movie. David Fincher will be directing a script his father, Jack Fincher wrote about Herman Mankiewicz titled "Mank." Gary Oldman is set to play Herman Mankiewicz, the co-writer of 1941 Hollywood classic "Citizen Kane."

After Gary Oldman, another main casting has been done with Amanda Seyfried. The "Mean Girls" actor will be playing Marion Davies. Actress Lily Collins has also been cast as Rita Alexander, Mankiewicz's secretary.

"Mank" will follow the screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz's tumultuous development of Orson Welles' iconic 1941 movie Citizen Kane. Herman, who started as a reporter and critic went on to work on classic films like The Wizard of Oz (1939), Pride of the Yankees (1942) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953). On Citizen Kane, he often clashed with Welles (to be played by Tom Burke) who tried to get him off the project entirely.

"Mank" also stars Arliss Howard, Ferdinand Kingsley, Jamie McShane, Joseph Cross, Sam Troughton, Toby Leonard Moore, Tom Pelphrey, and Tuppence Middleton. The film is set to go into production in November in Las Vegas.
