Venom Sequel To Introduce Another Villain

We got our first look at Woody Harrelson playing Cletus Kasaday aka Carnage in the mid-credits scene of "Venom." Sony is planning to up the stakes for "Venom 2" sequel, as Tom Hardy's Venom will be getting one more supervillain to battle with.

The character of Shriek will be accompanying Carnage for the Andy Serkis helmed "Venom" sequel. In the comics, Carnage comes across Shriek (born as Frances Louise Barrison) while escaping from Ravencroft Mental Institution. Shriek, who could manipulate sounds joins hands with Carnage; also becoming his love interest.

The casting for Shriek is currently underway, with a wide array of actresses being considered for the part. The sequel will see Tom Hardy reprising the role of the titular anti-hero and Michelle coming back as Anne Weyeng. Written by Kelly Marcel and directed by Andy Serkis, the movie is currently slated for October 2, 2020 release.
