Netflix has given a green signal to their Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston starrer "Murder Mystery." James Vanderbilt, who penned the script for "Murder Mystery" will return to write the sequel and also direct it.
"Murder Mystery" is the story of a New York cop, Nick Spitz (Adam Sandler) and his wife, Audrey Spitz (Jennifer Anniston) who go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage. A chance encounter leads to them being framed for the murder of an elderly billionaire, Viscount Charles. (Luke Evans)
The project is in very early stages, and as of now neither Sandler or Anniston have confirmed to come back for the sequel. Meanwhile, Sandler will be seen in Safdie Brothers' thriller "Uncut Gems" while Anniston will star along Steve Carrel and Reese Witherspoon in the Apple TV + series "The Morning Show."
