ABC Network's comedy series "Fresh Off the Boat" has a spinoff in works. Currently titled Magic Motor Inn, it will revolve around the Indian family whose daughter goes to school with Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang). Comic Vir Daas and Bollywood actor Preity Zinta will play the parents DC and Meena respectively.

"Fresh Off the Boat' writer Rachna Fruchbom, who has an overall deal with 20th Century Fox will write the spinoff. 20th Century Fox is also attached to the project as a producer. The spinoff, still in the early stages of development is expected to shart shooting mid-November.
