HBO Max is slowly and steadily making a streaming library good enough to give Netflix a run for their money. After landing the Ridley Scott's "Raised by Wolves" and "South Park" HBO Max has a DC live-action project. Elizabeth Banks will be shepherding "DC Super Hero High."
"DC Super Hero High" will follow the follows a group of students experiencing the fun and drama of adolescence at a boarding school for gifted kids. These teens are just trying to navigate the pressures of high school, but none of them realize that someday they will become legendary DC superheroes.
Elizabeth Banks will serve as executive producer, with writer Scott Weinger (Fuller House) penning the half-hour comedy. This is 3rd DC Comics-based project for HBO Max, with "Green Lantern" and "Strange Adventures" from Greg Berlanti already lined up. Apart from Elizabeth Banks, Issa Rae's "Rap Sh-t" and Mindy Kaling's "College Girls" are comedies that have been given a direct series order.
