USA Network has pulled the plug from the "Suits" spin-off "Pearson" after its debut season. The cancelation of the 10-episode series comes along with the end of the nine-season run of its parent show "Suits" on the USA Network.
"Pearson" followed Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) from New York to Chicago, where she entered the rough-and-tumble political scene in the city as the mayor's (Morgan Spector) right-hand woman. The show also starred Simon Kassianides, Bethany Joy Lenz, Chantel Riley, Isabel Arraiza and Eli Goree.
With only 513,000 views, "Pearson" was the least-watched scripted series show on the USA network for this year as it failed to create a spark with viewers in the same way "Suits" did. Showrunner Daniel Arkin was helped by "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh who served as an executive producer, along with Daniel Arkin, Gina Torres, Doug Liman, David Bartis, and Gene Klein; but alas it could not save "Pearson" from cancelation.
