Taylor Swift and Billie Ellish emerged as the big winners at MTV's EMA. Both Swift and Ellish took home trophies for their multiple wins. These two were not present to receive trophies sent their fans a loving message.

Billie Ellish won her awards by Eilish won both "Best New Artist" and "Best Song" for her song `Bad Guy." She beat out contenders Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X, Post Malone, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. Meanwhile, Swift was voted "Best U.S. Act" and "Best Video" for `Me!` from her latest album "Lover."

Shawn Mendes took home the award for "Best Artist" and Liam Gallagher was honored with the first-ever "Rock Icon Award." Hosted by Becky-G, the award ceremony also saw performances from Dua Lipa, Halsey, Rosalía among others.
