Post "Alita: Battle Angel," Robert Rodriguez is has found another directing gig. The "Sin City" filmmaker will be directing an action thriller "Hypnotic" which comes from the mind of writer Max Borenstein, who penned the screenplay of "Kong: Skull Island."
"Hypnotic" will follow a detective who becomes entangled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program, while investigating a string of impossible high-end heists. Rodriguez will be handling a $60-80 million budget for the movie and is currently assembling a cast for this film. Produced by Studio8 and Solstice Studios, "Hypnotic" will go into production next year.
Robert Rodriguez will also be directing "We Can We Heroes" for Netflix starring Priyanka Chopra, Boyd Holbrook, Pedro Pascal, and Christian Slater. The movie is about a young girl, daughter of a retired superhero who discovers that she has powers and puts together a group of other young heroes to help stop an alien invasion.
