Channing Tatum is set to make his directorial debut with a road trip comedy "Dog" in which he will also star. "Dog" will see Tatum play an Army Ranger who goes on the road with his dog Lulu to attend their handler's funeral. Tatum will co-direct Reid Carolin
One of them has a week to live, the other lives like every day is his last. Together, they'll drive each other insane, break a small handful of laws, narrowly evade death at the hands of some overly aggressive pot farmers, confront the possibility that pet psychics are real, teach each other how to love again, and give each other a chance for a new life.
Tatum and Carolin collaborated with Brett Rodriguez for the script, with Peter Kiernan and Gregory Jacobs. Principal photography is scheduled for next year. Tatum will also produce and star in Paramount Pictures' drama "Soundtrack of Silence" as Matt Hay, a sophomore in college who is losing his hearing and wants to capture the sounds that are slipping away, including the songs and the soundtrack of his youth.
