MGM has purchased the Guy Ritchie's "Cash Truck" for North American and select international territories distribution. MGM also bought the distribution rights for Latin America, Scandinavia, Philippines, and Hong Kong. "Cash Truck" will be the English language remake of the French thriller "Le Convoyeur" which starred Jean Dujardin.
Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, "Cash Truck" will star Jason Statham, Scott Eastwood, Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Laz Alonso, and Josh Hartnett. Jason Statham will portray a cold and mysterious character who works for an armored the truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.
Guy Ritchie has had a fantastic year with the live-action adaptation of "Aladdin" starring Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Will Smith as it went to make $1.051 billion worldwide. Ritchie also has an action thriller movie called "The Gentlemen" coming up, which stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery, Henry Golding, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsen, Colling Ferrell, and Hugh Grant. The movie has a theatrical release date of January 24, 2020.
