Tom Hanks' highly-anticipated Mr. Rogers biopic "A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood" released a new trailer a few hours ago. We see more of Matthew Rhys' character Loyd Vogel, a journalist who is tasked with interviewing Mr. Rogers. As he interviews him, his perspective on life slowly changes.



"A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood" is based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. Based on Tom Junod's article 1998 Esquire article "Can You Say... Hero?", the movie is written by Micah Fitzerman-Blue and Noah Harpster and directed by Marielle Heller. The movie stars Tom Hanks, Matthew Rhys, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Cooper in pivotal roles.

The film had its world premiere this year at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 and is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 22, 2019
