In what turned out to be one of the most unpredictable Box-Office battles, "Midway" got the best of highly touted horror movie "Doctor Sleep". Despite being blasted by the critics, the film as of November 10, 2019 has grossed $17.5 million in the United States and Canada, and $4.5 million on other territories, for a worldwide total of $22 million.
Meanwhile, Mike Flanagan's "Doctor Sleep" which was expected to collect over $25 million only has only managed 14.1 million in United States over 3,800 locations. John Cena lead comedy "Playing With Fire" came in third with 12.8 million in the United States, while Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding starrer `Last Christmas` came in fourth with a Box-Office collection of 11.6 million.
Written by Wes Tooke and directed by Roland Emmerich, "Midway" tells story of the Battle of Midway, which changed the course of World War 2, told by the leaders and the sailors who fought it. directed by Mike Flannagan "Doctor Sleep" starring Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson is a sequel to Stanley Kubrick's 1980 classic "The Shining".
