"The Witcher" live-action series is yet to reach us but has already been given a season 2 order. Netflix has ordered another season of the fantasy series based on the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski. The showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said in a statement "I'm so thrilled that before fans have even seen our first season, we are able to confirm that we'll be returning to The Continent again to continue telling the stories of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri."
"The Witcher" stars Henry Cavill playing Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
"The Witcher" is created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich based on the fantasy series of novels by Polish storyteller Andrzej Sapkowski. It also stars Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, Jodhi May, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, and Emma Appleton in major roles. The show makes its debut on December 20, 2019, on Netflix.
