The first trailer of Wes Anderson's new film is out. The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (aka The French Dispatch) is an upcoming comedy-drama film set in a fictional French city in the 20th century starring Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton.

The film has been described as "a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city", centering on three storylines. It brings to life a collection of tales published in the eponymous The French Dispatch. One of the three storylines centers the May 1968 student occupation protests in France, with Chalamet's and Khoudri's characters being two of the student protesters.

It stars an ensemble cast of Benicio del Toro, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Timothee Chalamet, Lea Seydoux, Owen Wilson, Mathieu Amalric, Lyna Khoudri, Steve Park, and Bill Murray. The film supporting cast features several of Anderson's recurring collaborators, including Liev Schreiber, Elisabeth Moss, Edward Norton, Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe, Saoirse Ronan, Christoph Waltz, and Anjelica Huston, among others.

The film is produced by Indian Paintbrush and American Empirical Pictures. The screenplay is by Anderson from a story by Anderson, Roman Coppola, Hugo Guinness, and Jason Schwartzman. It is scheduled to be released on July 24 in the USA by Searchlight Pictures and August 28 in the UK.
