Coming off an Oscar win for best adapted screenplay, Jojo Rabbit writer-director Taika Waititi may be headed to Showtime for his next project. Waititi and Jude Law are in talks for a limited series in the works at the premium cable outlet called The Auteur.

Law's features include the Sherlock Holmes films with Robert Downey Jr., the Harry Potter spinoff franchise Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and recently, MCU film Captain Marvel. As far as stand-alone films, Law broke through with his performance in 1999's The Talented Mr. Ripley, which earned him multiple awards nominations.

Meanwhile, Waititi has emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought after creatives. He astounded MCU fans with his work directing Thor: Ragnarok, reinvigorating the titular character after a disappointing sequel. He'll co-write and direct the franchise's upcoming fourth film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Just this month, Waititi won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for his well-received film Jojo Rabbit, also a satire.
