Meanwhile, Waititi has emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought after creatives. He astounded MCU fans with his work directing Thor: Ragnarok, reinvigorating the titular character after a disappointing sequel. He'll co-write and direct the franchise's upcoming fourth film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Just this month, Waititi won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for his well-received film Jojo Rabbit, also a satire.
