Netflix's The Witcher adapted some of the most well known stories from Andrzej Sapkowski's novel, The Last Wish, as well as Sword of Destiny. With that in mind, there were certain characters and stories that fans of the franchise expected to see in Season 1, one of the most prominent being Nivellen from "A Grain of Truth."

It appears that the cursed character will finally have his live-action debut in Season 2 of the hit fantasy series. According to Redanian Intelligence, the show has already cast Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen. The report cites a casting breakdown obtained by the website, which lists Hivju as the actor playing "Nigel," which, judging by the accompanying description, is in fact Nivellen.

The character is "a charismatic, witty and funny man" from an "aristocratic family and has been cursed for the crimes he has committed in the past."

Hivju is best known for his portrayal of the wildling, Tormund Giantsbane, in HBO's epic fantasy series, Game of Thrones. He was introduced in Season 3 and gradually became a prominent character toward the end of the series.
