After debuting in the DC Extended Universe in David Ayer's 2016 film Suicide Squad, Task Force X is set to return to the big screen under the guidance of writer/director James Gunn.

Warner Bros. brought Gunn on board to deliver a soft reboot of the franchise in 2019. Now, the director has revealed that outside of The Suicide Squad, he also has two other ideas for DC movies and we may find out what they are.

Gunn revealed his pick when asked by a fan on Instagram, `Favorite movie you've ever written, so far at least????` The writer-director responded with, `My favorite screenplays you mean? I love the movies I directed all the same, but I think I love The Suicide Squad script the most. Also love the scripts for Dawn of the Dead, Super, and The Specials.`
