First reported on by Hypebeast, the inclusion of Studio Ghibli soundtracks has already gone live across these platforms. You can now stream soundtracks for 23 different movies on the platform of your choice. These include the Oscar-winning Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Pom Poko. The only soundtrack not available is for 1988's Grave of the Fireflies since Studio Ghibli doesn't own the rights. Additionally, 15 image albums are also available to stream. These feature music that was inspired by the studio's movies, totaling 693 tracks.
This is another step Studio Ghibli has recently taken to make their work available to wider audiences. Last October, HBO announced the entire film catalog will be available on HBO Max, its new streaming platform launching in the Fall of 2020. Netflix is also adding the studio's movies periodically over the next couple of months. Unfortunately, this is only for subscribers outside the US, Canada, and Japan. However, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro is currently streaming on Netflix in the US. Although it isn't a Studio Ghibli film, it is Hayao Miyazaki's feature film directorial debut. He released it in 1979 before co-founding Studio Ghibli in 1985 following the release of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind in 1984.
