Salma Hayek Pinault recently added to the list of accolades received by her breakthrough film 'Frida'. One might think that after 18 years of it's release the film might be done with its quota of receiving awards and accolades but that isn't true for the 2002 classic 'Frida'. Hayek won the Goldene Kamera in Berlin for best international actress for her work in Frida at the 70th Berlin film festival. The Goldene Kamera is the German version of the Oscars.

The Mexican actress and producer rose to fame with roles in 'Desperado', 'From Dusk Till Dawn', 'Wild Wild West' and 'Dogma'. Her breakthrough role was 'Frida' in 2002, as Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, for which she was nominated for Best Actress for the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. This movie received widespread attention and was a critical and commercial success. It is a biographical film about Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. It was an adaptation of Hayden Herrera's 'Frida: A Biography of Frida Kahlo'. Salma Hayek played Kahlo, while Alfred Molina plays her husband Diego Rivera.

Not just the award but her look too turned some heads at the festival. She opted for a striking appearance as she was dressed in a sleeveless floor-length cocktail dress, complete with a bejeweled neckline. The Grown Ups actress, married to billionaire businessman Francois- Henri Pinault, wore her sparkling wedding band with a purple ring and carried a box clutch. The actress has an impressive career spanning three decades in film and television. She is the recipient of several honours and has worked in at least 54 films.
