As coronavirus continues to be a concern for many travelers, Disney has decided to temporarily close its theme parks worldwide.
Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California; Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida; and Disneyland Paris all announced plans to suspend operations on Thursday. Disney Cruise Line also announced Thursday its plan to suspend all new departures beginning March 14 through the end of the month.
The hotels at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris will remain open until further notice, but hotels at Disneyland in California will close March 16.
Dining and shopping at Downtown Disney at Disneyland in California, Disney Springs at Walt Disney World, and Disney Village at Disneyland Paris, do not have plans to close as of now. Cast members will be paid during the shutdown, reps for The Walt Disney Company said.
Parks in Asia had already closed and plan to remain closed until the threat passes.
