Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are all taking part in a special documentary for new streaming service HBO Max, which will also reunite them with series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman.
However, there was bad news for fans when it was revealed that production on the reunion show had been delayed due to the coronavirus crisis, with reports saying that production had been delayed from March until at least May this year.
But actor Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani in the hit sitcom, appears to have suggested that work has in fact started on the show in some capacity.
Speaking during a pre-recorded interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the actor appeared to suggest that at least part of the reunion special had already been filmed, although it is unclear as to exactly when this would have happened.
The actor also confirmed that the reunion is in a discussion format rather than the actors reprising their characters, describing the special as "the six of us together talking about the good old days" and joking "we got the band back together without the instruments".
But the nostalgia didn't end there.
