Jesse Eisenberg, who plays the DCEU's Lex Luthor, has weighed in on the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Eisenberg made his debut as the classic comic book villain in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In that movie, he manipulated Superman and Batman to work against each other, leading to the fight promised in the title. However, Luthor is arrested at the end of the film, making him largely absent from Justice League. In the comic book tradition, he appears only in a post-credits scene. In it, he escapes from the asylum and teams with Slade Wilson.
This includes Jesse Eisenberg. While promoting his recent movie Resistance, Eisenberg spoke with the Toronto Sun about the Snyder Cut movement and his role in it. Eisenberg first admitted he hasn't seen either of his DCEU movies, as he doesn't like watching his own films. He then explained how that's affected his view of the Snyder Cut:
`So I'm not aware of a Snyder Cut. I'm not part of - I don't even know what to call it - the movement. I like Zack Snyder and I worked with him for a while just by virtue of these movies taking so long to film. I love his style and aesthetic and if there's a movie he wanted to see released, I'm sure it would be great.`
Eisenberg's comments about the Snyder Cut make sense considering how small his role was in the movie. Lex Luthor had a much bigger impact on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice than Justice League.
