Jimmy Kimmel is taking a break from his late-night ABC talk show. The host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! will hand over the presenting duties to a `cavalcade` of guest hosts.

`I'm taking the summer off to spend even more time with my family. I've been doing this job for almost 18 years, I've done 3130 shows. There's nothing wrong. I'm healthy, my family's healthy, I just need a couple of months off. While I'm gone, a cavalcade a very kind and capable people will be filming in with me,` he said.

Shows featuring guest hosts will start Monday, July 6 after a two week hiatus. Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been produced remotely since March and airs at 11:35pm on ABC.

In 2017, Kimmel took a break due to the health of his newborn son, William, and guest hosts included Will Arnett, Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, David Spade. Later in November 2017, when he son had his second heart surgery, Shaquille O'Neal, Dave Grohl, Channing Tatum and Jennifer Lawrence filled in.

The show, which is in its 18th season, is exec produced by Kimmel and Sharon Hoffman with co-executive producers David Craig, Douglas DeLuca, Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney and Jennifer Sharron. It is produced by 1205 AM Productions in association with Kimmelot and ABC Studios.
