After Kanye's controversial statement, Kim Kardashian West is asking the public to show "compassion and empathy" to husband Kanye West. Her series of social media posts are making a stir on the internet when she disclosed her husband's mental health condition.
On Wednesday, the reality TV star Kim shared a lengthy message on her Instagram story and explained that she had been reluctant to speak publicly about how her husband's illness had affected his family.
She wrote, "As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. I've never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye's right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.`
She further continued while calling Kanye a brilliant but complicated person and wrote, "he is a brilliant and complicated person who on top of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother ... has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder."
