The misty reaches of the Scotland afford some of the most cinematic landscapes this country has to offer, and the upcoming British psychological horror, Repression, looks to make full use of their remote, haunting beauty as a backdrop to the film's strange and twisting narrative.
Featuring the brilliant Rebecca Front, the film sees her therapist move to the remote wilds of Scotland, where she is confronted by a young patient who claims he is able to control her future.
We'll leave you with the synopsis...
Repression is a gripping and twisty Hitchcock-esque thriller set in Scotland with a staller British cast, including Peter Mullan and Rebecca Front. When therapist Marianne moves to a remote area of Scotland, her attempts at a new life is thrown off course by one of her patients, ten year old Manny who claims he can see and control her future. Marianne struggles against both the wall of silence from her colleagues and her own mind as she tries to uncover the truth behind Manny's drawings.
The premise itself looks interesting whilst the wild, mist-shrouded Scottish vistas add a gothic charm. The film itself is set to launch on digital release on 28th September via Signature Entertainment.
