DreamWorks Animation first announced 'The Croods' sequel way back in 2013 with a story focusing on motherhood and the `first chapter of society.` But unfortunately, on that time the film didn't get on the floor, and then got canceled altogether in 2016 after DreamWorks Animation moved to Universal Pictures. Now after 7 years, finally, the makers have released the trailer of a much-awaited animated family adventure film, 'The Croods 2'.

'The Croods', was all about a cave family called the Croods who survives a natural disaster, due to the overprotective nature of their stubborn patriarch Grug. The family spends most of the time in a sheltered cave. But in the second installment, the film begins its journey where the first film ends. In the trailer, 'The Croods' encounter their biggest threat since leaving the cave, another family called The Betterman's. The Croods 2 is all about the fun adventure of both families and how they discover new things but the film's calamity looks like it will put the Crood and the Betterman family rivalry on hold. The Croods: A New Age is an American computer-animated comedy adventure film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film will be directed by Joel Crawford from a screenplay by Dan and Kevin Hageman. The film will star the returning voices of Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, and Cloris Leachman, with new cast members including Peter Dinklage, Leslie Mann, and Kelly Marie Tran.
