Krasinski co-wrote, directed and starred in the original film alongside Emily Blunt. He also wrote and directed the sequel, which was pushed back from its March 20 release date due to the coronavirus pandemic. It's now set to arrive in cinemas on April 23, 2021.
Earlier this year, Krasinski explained how he'd never considered making a sequel to the first film, but when writing the script, he soon started thinking of ways to expand the fictional universe. "It's interesting, I genuinely hadn't thought about a second one when I was doing the first one. However, I really had these questions while I was doing it," he said.
A Quiet Place Part II will continue on from the events of the first film, while also going back in time to reveal more about the origins of the mysterious monsters.
