Actress Yami Gautam, last seen in the film Article 370, is filled with joy and pride as she celebrates her father, Mukesh Gautam's recent triumph. Mukesh Gautam was awarded the prestigious National Award for Best Punjabi Feature Film for his movie Baghi Di Dhee, a recognition that has brought immense pride to the Gautam family.

While Yami had previously praised her father on social media, she took to Instagram once again on Thursday to share two heartfelt pictures of the proud moment, featuring her father and his well-earned National Award. Alongside the photos, the actress expressed her deep emotions in a moving note, offering a glimpse into her bond with her father and the significance of his achievement.

A Proud and Emotional Moment for Yami Gautam

In her caption, Yami poured out her emotions, writing, 'Only if I could express how happy & emotional my heart felt at this moment. My father, Mr. Mukesh Gautam, winning a National award, is a true testimony of the fact that you need not belong to anyone but your own conscience to stand the test of time & make it happen."

She praised her father's work ethic and passion, crediting his honesty and dedication as the driving forces behind his success. Yami's words reflected her admiration for her father's unwavering commitment to his craft, qualities she considers his most valuable legacy.

A Father's Influence and Unwavering Support

Yami also highlighted the important role her father has played in her life, both personally and professionally. She shared touching memories of how her father guided her through life's challenges with wisdom and love. From instructing her on how to board her first train alone to sharing his life's disappointments and triumphs, Mukesh Gautam has always been a source of inspiration for his daughter.

She lovingly wrote, 'From being my best guiding voice - be it from giving the most clear instructions in order to board my first train alone to narrating some of his most memorable experiences during his journey of work, his disappointments, his ability to find happiness in whatever he did & just giving his best regardless of how hard the situation has been.'

A Lesson in Resilience and Hard Work

In her heartfelt message, Yami revealed one of the most valuable lessons her father imparted to her ' the importance of resilience and self-reliance. She recalled how Mukesh Gautam never used his connections to recommend her to anyone, believing that her journey should be her own, filled with challenges but also the potential for true personal growth. He encouraged her to work hard and develop her craft, knowing that the rewards would come from her own dedication.

'My dad never gave my recommendation to anyone, for he said very clearly that it's going to be my own journey- full of hardships just like his, but in the end, should I choose to stay resilient & work on my craft, that will yield the best fruit of my own labour,' Yami wrote.

A Father's Legacy and Celebration

Yami concluded her emotional post by celebrating her father's legacy, expressing her gratitude for his constant presence and protection throughout her life. She shared that despite his camera-shy nature, Mukesh Gautam is lovingly referred to as "MG sir" by his grandchildren.

'So here is celebrating MG sir, as my camera-shy dad loves to be addressed by his grandkids now,' Yami added, paying tribute to the man who has been a guiding light not only to her and her siblings but also to the entire family.

A Moment of Joy for the Gautam Family

Mukesh Gautam's National Award win for Baghi Di Dhee is not only a personal triumph but a source of immense pride for the entire family. His dedication to his craft and the values he upholds have clearly left a lasting impact on his children, and Yami's heartfelt message is a testament to the deep respect and admiration she holds for him.
